Fight your Battles

Be with someone who makes life’s hindrances easy for you,
Ask someone out who understands and will always accept life’s truths.

Spent time with someone who takes a step to make you smile,
Don’t be with someone who doesn’t treasure your time.

Love someone who lightens your day and always pursues rule #6,’ Don’t take life so damn seriously.’
The other five rules are empty myths.

Fake your triumphs until you make them absolute,
Loneliness will make you cherish all peeps around you, who treasure you for real.

Be an equal partner & not a caregiver,
Stand tall with folks, who have etched you fondly in their minds.

Don’t keep judging & fixing yourself or your partner,
You will just keep getting disappointed with mock laughter.

Life is not a moral science lesson book, analyzing virtues and creating a pattern to follow,
It’s about individually accepting yourself without feeling hollow.

Fight, scream and pray; change your possibilities, even if you feel afraid.

Don’t let your emotional fragility dictate your life terms,
You can always happily move on.

You got nobody to prove & exhibit your sparkling character,
You must live with yourself candid & complex.

Don’t become so brazen & rigid that you lose your sensitivity,
Become wise enough to push away the negativity.

Duel with your skepticisms and panic if you wish.
Fight for your happiness, even if it seems so bleak.

Be you, evolve into a kinder version of you; let pathetic beings judge you.
Keep your eyes on the glorious future and stability of the later years.
Let self-love guide you through.

Fight your Battles

Let Go

If you let go a little; you are less burdened,

If you let go a lot, you live free.

When you unclench your fists and let the past flow out, the empty palms blossom your destiny.

Stop chasing the butterflies of tomorrow & taste your adventure.

Listen to the chimes again and the songs of the winds.

Trust the process of life and accept the truth, quit controlling it to allow the seeds of wisdom to sprout.

Accept yourself unashamed, pray for yourself relentlessly and if required, pour out your heart on a scrap of paper.

Open the soul to your evolution and migrate from enduring to thriving.

Ponder over your emptiness & anxieties to accept your existence.

You may feel unloved & insecure, not compatible with any wandering soul, but you are the stuff made of stars & you burn the brightest together.

Fear, anger, love, pain & loss are necessary emotions for survival, please drop off the baggage, for it’s your time to recover.

Let Go

Shades of Perfection

Who in this world is honest with himself and not shying away from his imperfections?

Who is not stumbling to put words in coherence with their thoughts?

Who does not engage with self-loathe and victim mentality?

Who is always effervescent & serene and brings righteousness to the table?

Everyone holds a mind full of bubbling beliefs & unprecedented cravings for validation.

Whoever says it’s a rubbish idea and they dedicate themselves to a mission of humankind guidance is a sugarcoat.

All are human & full of vices; the achievement is to act wise & put their services for hefty prices.

All are blended commodities with shades of white, red & black.

Purity, anger & darkness, so full of pride.

I am no different than anyone else; the only thing that separates me is the vow to be the authentic self.

I am dark & regretful, angry & a riot, pure as true devotion, blended unscrupulously to perfection.

I err consistently & wonder at my minimum credibility; I succeed and then fly on the wings of triumph to a universe of satisfaction.

But, still, the emptiness remains.

Why do more individual colors need to blend with me? To fill in the voids, to guide me on the respectable path, to thwart self-sabotage, or to paint me warm & soft?

I dazzle like a thousand stars surrounded by the shadows of the dark.

Shades of Perfection

Expectations

My anxiety screams at me reinforcing my fears.

As I sink deep, my expectations brutally divide me from within.

My exhaustion & dreams collide in a world of anger & rage,

My failures flow inside my veins. I look up with stiffened shoulders and neck, the pain in the back explodes like 4th July fireworks.

The anguish & frustration burns me from inside, the relevant explanations feel so empty inside.

More tears escape from my closed eyes, and I see the wise guy.

He smiles, reminding me that when you feel nothing substantial is happening externally; that is when most is happening internally.

Hold onto the hopes & be your own lucky charm,

Everything will fall in place once the storms calm because what you seek is seeking you!

Expectations

Introspection

What does it mean when life pulls a rug beneath your feet?

What happens when you feel your heart palpitate but your body freezes?

What does it mean to put the broken pieces together and become whole again

Do the cracks become invisible?

What does it mean to see your self-worth shatter like glass; the white smoke filling your lungs?

How do you show the inner scars & wounds; some of them still oozing & some bandaged with acceptance?

How do you stop self-sabotage because you have gotten addicted to misery?

How do you accept your image in the mirror and believe that you are normal again?

Is the remedy a compensatory hug & a promise to try to love or an outburst of wrath?

Does TLC mean self-love or an affair?

Should you consider a therapist, a guru, or sip on a brew; should you finally bow down with acceptance and march into the unknown?

Where do you find your pause?

In a prayer soaked with tears or in your screams of ‘enough is enough’?

Where do you find your strength?

In the eyes staring back at you in the mirror or the sweet greetings of the cashier at the store; reminding you of your presence in the world.

When you finally breathe again to settle your anxiety and your clammy hands push the fringe hair behind your ear; you remind yourself that you are just a character in this world who has her unique story and no matter what happens, the acting continues as the blue ball spins in the darkness.

Illusions Of the Heart

Love is an illusion, silly human, just you wait,
Atrocities on the heart are what’s in fate.

Your mistakes become a weapon of own destruction,
A rattled mind that refuses to function
.

Illusions are sweet and dreamy, and they suck you right in,
Shackles of dependency and chains of love are what you believe in.

Smarts are those men and women who tag relations as money pots and for growth,
Fatal are those relations where togetherness and respect are the goals
.

You rip yourself and the other,
In a never-ending game of power & struggle.

The goals may range from peace & harmony to a brand-new home,
But nothing beats the smell of your gold.

What is your worth woman? Just low self-esteem,
You delivered something that a man can get by several other means.

Your failure is your own and your success is ours,
Your heartbeat for me means nothing but something that can be devoured.

You have no right to complain, the negative bank balance explains.

Your aspirations are cloudy, and the expectation is zero,
This is my trail for you to follow
.

Your stupidness is commendable, to my heart,
Love is nothing if it tears lives apart.

Earn your living with head held high, a pound or a penny whatever comes by.
There is not a single soul that can love you, go deep within and connect with the holy.

No illusions, no heartache, just confirmation,
Life with love has no meaning without a bank balance.

Illusions Of the Heart

Wind Of Passion

Numb is the emotional health of mine, and a series of memories cloud my mind.
Anger, pain, hurt, ridicule; negative emotions suck the air out of the tubes.

Thump-thump goes the heart, beating every second, bringing a rush of adrenaline.
As confidence fades and self-loathing rises, a tingle in the brain makes me burn and rise from my ashes.

I wish these & that; spiteful words flow like muddy trash.

No one can make things right, unfurl yourself and become a sail to head into the lights. Vanish the insults and pain into the wind of passion, let the hands become the oars of guidance with compassion.

Every fuming breath is steam, whistle, and moves the engines of life with your determined feet.
The mind will sway, and the anchor may not hold you long, but God will push you through the storm.
Either your current bubble will shatter into a million pieces, or you may get a chance to tape back those pieces, but my dear woman you will rise like a phoenix.

Your lessons are pending, life’s warm hugs and kisses are waiting, and love or responsibilities will pull you through. You are not alone; someone is still waiting to hold you!

Wind Of Passion

Mildred’s Fish

Hey Little Fish, what’s on the agenda?

Are we swimming to the right or is the left direction the plan?

Up & down; you swim all around.

Darkness or Light, you stay immune,

You do your own thing and just stay attuned.

You bask in your glory and sparkle like a rainbow,

The calm you bring makes me mellow.

I have seen you hide too when you are scared,

But you are brave, and you always come back.

You teach me to be resilient and sparkle in my glory.

You teach me to breathe, even when I am drowning and lonely.

Your true colors make you unique,

I am so glad that you & I can dive deep.

Mildred’s Fish

Rise…

A heartbeat, a kiss, or a touch of a fingertip,

Tiny fleeting moments of pure bliss.

A desire, a hope, a moment of trust,

Fills your mind in a joyous rush.

A sacred bond or a secret wish,

Endless beautiful moments to cherish.

You dream & laugh aloud,

The space around encloses you like a lovely shroud.

You wake up to the truth & you shiver & sigh,

Dreams have an expiration date; that’s why they die.

You stand and wrap your torn shroud and move on holding your head proud.

You dust off your feet and accept your grief,

You stand tall because you can still breathe.

You look around for good and face the bad,

You make a resolve not to get shattered again like a glass.

You remember the saying that life is short, one minute you are here and the other you are not.

You look around and say aloud, I am going to move on alone and without regrets,

My life seconds are spending out and I must invest.

No one can stay with me except me, and no one can love me like I can,

So, shake off the dust and say “I can.”

Rise…
